“True charity is the desire to benefit others without the thought of reward”.

Colorful balloons, clowns on stilts, kinds words, and the smiles of children completed the atmosphere of the fourth birthday celebration of “Lerua Merlen
Rostov-Mega” on November 19th,. Volunteers, customers, and children from three foster-families, Ievlevy, Kulishkiny and Sorikiny, came to congratulate their
Friends. Thirty six children and fifteen volunteers under the direction of the project’s coordinator, Pavel Karnaukhov, took part in the event.

Children read poetry from the stage to thank those who gave aid to the organization, Valera Ievlev and Kirill Grachev showed several tricks of Wushu (their
boys have trained in this sport for three years and are members of the regional Wushu team), and in the end volunteer Tatyana Solovyanova performed her new
song as the children accompanied her with some impromptu dancing. A festive banquet table was prepared for the finale of the event where the children enjoyed
candies, fruits and juice. The “Day of HOPE – Dream Letters” event was held by HOPE volunteers during the Lerua Merlen Rostov-Mega store’s birthday
celebration. Children from the Nedotiukovy foster-family wrote letters in which they described their dreams of becoming a soccer player, a goalkeeper, a
boxer, a roller-skater, a cook, a hairdresser and an artist.

The goal of the Angels of HOPE is to try to help each of these children in reaching their dreams, because, “It is more important to give than to recieve.” We
sincerely hope that there are more people out there who will take the time to care about the future of these children, and that you too may become someone’s
Angel.
