On December 16-th, 2007 a congratulatory meeting with the Heads of Moscow’s Public Relations Committee and the nominees from various charities and social programs, and the competition winners, was held in the Theatrical Centre of the Union of Theatrical Workers.
Not long ago benevolent and social programs were virtually all funded by private donors and volunteers, but recently benevolent work in Russia has come to the attention of many powerful individuals, corporations, and society as a whole
An awards ceremony was held for the nominees, which included a total of 195 people (149 participants in the social programs competition, and 46 members of various charities). Programs and competition projects were divided into categories which included following:

HOPE worldwide-Russia (Nadezhda po vsemu miru) won the competition with the HOPE Family-Consultation Centre. The centre carries out preventive work with families, children and retirees, with the goal of improving family relations, strengthening the prestige and the role of family in society, by rendering assistance to high risk families and children. A program for the prevention of orphanhood, child negligence, and alcoholism and narcotics use among children and teenagers is also in development. HOPE also provides assistance to retirees and WWII Veterans.
The Award was presented to Sergey Korobenko, General Director of HOPE worldwide-Russia (Nadezhda po vsemu miru), by Alexey Popov, Vice-president of the Moscow Public Relations Committee.
Words of gratitude for the charitable work that HOPE has carried out in the capital were personally expressed to all the participants that evening by Tatyana Portnov, Deputy of the Moscow Municipal Duma.

The City’s “Night of winners” for the Social and Charitable Programs Competition was organized and hosted by the Moscow Public Relations Committee with support from the Government of Moscow and the Moscow Charitable Council.
