On the 26th of November in the Family Center there takes place an unusual celebration “Mama — is my sunshine”, dedicated to international Mothers day. The whole world celebrates that holiday on the last Sunday of November.
By the order of the President of the Russian Federation, our country has celebrated that for the fourth time.
The first word that usually any person pronounces is “mammy”. Mother – is a favorite and close friend for every person, to her we go with all our joys and sorrows, we entrust her with all our secrets. Her radiant light accompanies us all our life.
Around 85 people came to the event – mothers with their children well dressed and pretty, joyful and thoughtful. The Children prepared poems for them, and with great feeling they expressed gratitude to their mom’s and grandma’s. And not for the first time the group “Bozhya Korovka”, participated Hope program, presented as a present to the mom’s and all the children a lively concert. Performers danced and sang, congratulated and uplifted everyone, creating joyful and friendly atmosphere.
On November 6th, 2005 we were participating with over 635,000 other runners in one of the world’s best known races, the ING Marathon of New York.
This 42 km race in the heart of New York City was run by a diverse group of 7 brave men and 1 fearless woman. This international crew was made up of runners from countries all over the world, including Russia, the Netherlands, and Finland. They have been training relentlessly in the smoggy streets of Moscow and the wet polders of Noord Holland for the last six months to prepare for this epic contest.
Before preparing for this marathon every one of them thought 10 km was a long way to run, and a 42 km race only seemed possible in wildest imaginations.
Even more important is the fact that they were traveling across the globe together to sweat and compete and exhaust minds and bodies in a common endeavor with one goal in mind: to reach the finish line in Central Park as a team.
To make this effort something that will be meaningful for those who do not have the opportunity to go to New York and run. The participiant wanted to use this endeavor to raise money for orphans all over the nation of Russia.
Helping children today, we create a better tomorrow.
At the beginning of the academic year the charitable organization Hope worldwide, in the village of “Chanadiri”, not far from the City of Tbilisi, organized Day of Hope for poor children.
Volunteers, who came to the village, organized hair cutting for school children, and that evening for those children was shown a film. Many of those children never saw a film a big movie screen. For everyone was baked a big pie and every child received a gift of stationary, but most of all – much moral support, personal care and warmth from the side of the volunteers.
How quickly Day of Hope went by, yet we gave them a real feeling hope in life, and radiant joy.
